Kareem Jackson has been suspended by the NFL again, this time for four games for repeat violations of the NFL’s playing rules to protect player health and safety. The incident which gave rise to the suspension occurred on the first drive of Jackson’s first game back after serving a two-game suspension. Jackson is appealing the suspension.
The Major League Players Association released a statement today announcing that the Detroit Tigers have agreed to rescind the option of Spencer Turnbull in September due to a foot injury. Turnbull has been granted service time for the remainder of the season, which will put him over five years of service time going into the 2024 season. Though Turnbull is now a free agent, the five-year mark allows him to refuse a minor league assignment on his next contract.
