Ronnie Harrison (who is now listed as a linebacker) was signed to the 53-man roster of the Indianapolis Colts today. Harrison had spent the entire season on the Colts’ practice squad.
Patrick Kaukovalta, included on Finland’s Davis Cup team as an alternate for this week’s Davis Cup Final Eight, was pressed into duty in the opening singles match of Finland’s tie versus defending champions Canada. Kaukovalta didn’t win his match, but Finland managed to advance to Friday’s semifinal.
For the second straight week, Alexey Nesterov has won three qualifying matches to advance to the main draw of the ITF Futures Tour tournament in Tunisia.
Kareem Jackson’s 4-game suspension (discussed yesterday) has been upheld.
