The Cincinnati Bengals have elevated AJ McCarron to the active roster for tomorrow’s game to serve as the team’s backup quarterback. It will mark the first time that McCarron has been on an NFL roster since the last week of the 2020 season, when he started the final regular season game for the Houston Texans. McCarron spent the 2021 season on Injured Reserve with the Atlanta Falcons, was not signed for the 2022 season, and starred for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2023 XFL season.
Noah Clowney finally made his NFL debut tonight for the Brooklyn Nets in the final three minutes of the Nets’ win over Miami. Clowney had only appeared in G League games so far this season.
Sam Gardner posted another 2-inning, 6-strikeout performance for the Brisbane Bandits. Gardner has now faced 13 batters in the Arizona Baseball League, striking out 12 and walking one.
