News
Nick Dunlap became just the second amateur ever to shoot a 60 in a PGA Tour event, as he takes a three-stroke lead into the final round of the American Express. Dunlap seeks to become the first amateur to win a PGA Tour event Phil Mickelson won the 1991 Northern Telecom Open. Dunlap, at 20 years and 29 days of age, would also be the youngest winner on the PGA Tour since Jordan Spieth won the 2013 John Deere Classic at 19 years, 11 months, and 17 days of age.
Justin Thomas kept pace with Dunlap, shooting a 61 of his own, as he sits at solo 3rd place, 4 strokes behind Dunlap. Thomas and Dunlap, who will be two-thirds of the final pairing, get to play a round of golf together for the first time tomorrow.
Joshua Primo scored a career-high 37 points in Ontario’s loss tonight. Primo’s previous career high was a 33 point game earlier this month.
With a 5th-place finish at the USATF National Cross Country Championships today, Emmanuel Bor has qualified for Team USA for the upcoming World Cross Country Championships.
After 22 scoreless innings, Sam Gardner finally surrendered a run in the Australian Baseball League. Gardner gave up a solo homer in Brisbane’s loss today, and now has a 0.40 ERA. He has also now struck out 50 batters in 22.2 innings pitched.
