Kira Lewis was traded to the Utah Jazz just ahead of today’s NBA trade deadline. For Lewis, it’s his second trade in just over three weeks, having previously been part of a three-team trade in January that ultimately sent him to the Toronto Raptors. Lewis only played for 2 minutes for the NBA Raptors, and saw most of his Raptors time in the G League.

Will Anderson was named Associated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year at NFL Honors Night. Anderson is the first Alabama player to be named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year since DeMeco Ryans was honored after the 2006 season, and is the 3rd Alabama player so honored since the award was created in 1967 (Derrick Thomas in 1989 being the other honoree).

Bud Cauley officially returned to the PGA Tour today at the WM Phoenix Open. However, rain truncated his opening round. Play was suspended with Cauley at -1 through 8 holes.
The Detroit Lions are reportedly hiring DeShea Townsend as the team’s new passing game coordinator on defense. Townsend most recently was on the staff of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Riley Tanner has been called up by the Panamanian National Team for the upcoming CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup. Panama will play in Group B with Brazil, Colombia, and the winner of a play-in match between Haiti and Puerto Rico.
