Saketh Myneni and doubles partner Ramkumar Ramanathan defeated compatriots Niki Poonacha and Rithvik Bollipalli a three-set finals to win the Chennai Open championship today. Myneni and Ramanathan defeated the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seeds en route to the title. It’s Myneni’s 34th career doubles title between the ATP Challenger and ITF Futures tours.
Gerald Wallace was honored by the Charlotte Hornets tonight. Wallace was an original member of the expansion Charlotte Bobcats (since renamed) after being taken in the 2004 expansion draft, and spent 8 seasons with the organization.
