Bud Cauley followed up yesterday’s 66 with a 65, and has the solo lead after 36 holes at the Cognizant Classic. It’s the first time on the PGA Tour that Cauley has had a solo lead after 36 holes, and Cauley hasn’t had a least a solo share of a lead at the halfway point since the 2017 Valero Open.
Davis Shore, playing in his first Korn Ferry Tour event at the Argentina Open, shot back-to-back 65s, and is T-5th at the halfway mark.
Nick Dunlap carded his first ace on the PGA Tour on the 7th hold at the Cognizant Classic today.
Doctors at the NFL Combine discovered that Kool-Aid McKinstry has a Jones fracture in his right foot. McKinstry will skip the workouts at the combine, but will work out at his pro day in Tuscaloosa before having surgery to fix the fracture. He is not expected to miss training camp.
