News
Several Alabama golfers turned in season high-water marks in the final rounds of PGA and LPGA events today. On the PGA side, Davis Riley (T14th) and Wilson Furr (T36th) both had their best finishes of the season, while Nick Dunlap (T11th) had his best finish since turning professional after winning The American Express. For the women, Kristen Gillman’s T-13th finish marks her best finish on the LPGA Tour since finishing T-8th at the Volunteers of America Classic in December 2020. And Polly Mack’s T-21st finish is her best-ever finish on the LPGA Tour in a traditional stroke-play tournament (she tied for 3rd in last year’s Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, which was a partner event).
Erin Routliffe and Gabby Dabrowski saved three match points in the final set today, but finally lost in the women’s doubles finals at the Miami Open.
