Kristian Gkolomeev won the Men’s 50m Freestyle gold medal at the European Aquatics Championships today, marking his first-ever gold medal at the event. Gkolomeev has finished either 2nd (2018) or 3rd (2020, 2022) at the previous three European championships.
Justin Thomas kept pace with a stacked leaderboard to finish T-5th at the Travelers Championship. For Thomas, it was his 3rd Top 5 finish of 2024, and his 5th Top 10 in the 14 events in which he has played.
Davis Shore completed a roller-coaster week with his best career finish on the Korn Ferry Tour. Shore started the week as an alternate at the Compliance Solutions Championship, but got into the field. He opened the week T-133rd after one round, then moved up 84 spots in Round 2 to make the cut. Then today, he shot a closing round 63 to move up 32 spots to T-4th.
Thomas Ponder has a Top 10 finish in his first professional event. Ponder, who led after 2 rounds, finished T-7th at the Beachlands Victoria Open.
Former Alabama swimmer Matt King, who finished his collegiate career at Virginia, has been added to the US Olympic Team for the 4x100m Freestyle Relay event.

DeMarcco Hellams hosted his first football camp this weekend in the Washington, DC metro area.
Mark Ingram will be hosting a free football clinic, combine, and 7-on-7 tournament in Flint, Michigan on June 28-29.
