Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Kristian Gkolomeev. At last week’s European Aquatics Championships, Gkolomeev won his first-ever gold medal in the Men’s 50m Freestyle at the event, with a time of 21.72 seconds. He had finished 2nd (2018) or 3rd (2020, 2022) at each of the last three Euro Aquatics.

Olivia Fotopoulou finished 2nd in the Women’s 100 Meter at the Filothei Women’s Gala.
Filippa Fotopoulou Kviten placed 3rd in the Women’s Long Jump at the Filothei Women’s Gala.
Kimberley Ficenec posted a personal best in the Women’s 800 Meter in a 4th place finish at Track Night Vienna.
Tamara Clark finished 6th in the Women’s 100 Meter at the USATF Olympic Trials.
Margaux Maquet won 3 qualifying matchs and 2 main draw matches at the ITF event in Tunisia.
