Daily Recap – June 29, 2024

News

Delayed a year by elbow surgery, Grayson Hitt finally made his professional debut today in a rehab outing for the Arizona Complex League D-backs. Hitt worked an inning in relief.

The Utah Jazz will reportedly decline to make a qualifying offer to restricted free agent Kira Lewis, which will clear the way for Lewis to be an unrestricted free agent.

Noah Gurley has re-signed with KK Alkar Sinj of Croatia’s Premejir Liga for the 2024-25 season. Gurley joined Alkar late in the 2023-24 season after having briefly played in Belgium’s BNXT League.

Olivia Fotopoulou’s 100 Meter championship today is her 7th straight Cypriot championship in the event. She now has 11 golds from the Cyprus championships (7 100 Meter, 3 200 Meter, 1 4×100 Meter Relay). She’ll be trying for her 4th straight 200 Meter title tomorrow.

Jereem Richards, 3-time Trinidad & Tobago national champion in the 200 Meter, picked up his first national title in the 400 Meter today.

The Cleveland Browns are pleased with Jerry Jeudy’s progress in the offense, with or without on-field work.
