Luisa Blanco and Shallon Olsen took the stage at the Paris Olympics today, and both came away with admirable performances. Blanco, competing in the all-around competition, was among the Top 24 to advance to the all-around finals. Olsen, competing in the vault only, had the 7th best score over the five subdivisions to advance to the vault finals. Olsen will also be part of Canada’s bid to win a team medal.
Christian Barmore was diagnosed this weekend with blood clots, the New England Patriots reported today. Barmore is sidelined indefinitely while he receives the necessary medical care.
Benedetta Moresco finished T-19th at the CPKC Women’s Open for her career-best finish on the LPGA Tour. It was Moresco’s 6th career start on the tour.
