The United States won its first gold medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics in the Men’s 4 x 100 Meter Freestyle Relay today. Matt King, by virtue of competing on the US relay team in the preliminary round, also gets a gold medal.
Connor Prielipp made his first non-rehab start since April 2023 tonight for Cedar Rapids. Prielipp, still on a pitch limited, continued the solid work from his rehab outings with 2 scoreless innings and 4 strikeouts.

With the Orlando Pride hosting Rayadas de Monterrey in the NWSL x Liga MXF Summer Cup, it marked the first time ever that four Alabama soccer players were suited in for a single professional soccer game. Celia Jiménez Delgado and McKinley Crone represented Orlando, while Merel Van Dongen and Tanna Sánchez Carreto represented Monterrey. Jiménez Delgado and Van Dongen both assisted on goals.
