Crimson Tide Sports Network announced today that Damien Harris will take over the role of sideline reporter for CTSN’s broadcasts in the 2024 season. Harris replaces Christian Miller, who is taking on a lighter role with CTSN due to other commitments.
Aja Sims-Fletcher has been named assistant coach the University of Illinois’ women’s gymnastics program. Sims-Fletcher was the head gymnastics coach at Talladega College for its inaugural season last season, but the school cut the program after one year.
T.J. McCants made his professional debut tonight with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers of the Carolina League. McCants hit an opposite-field homer in his first at-bat against the Columbia Fireflies. The game was suspended in the 3rd inning, and will resume tomorrow.
Marty Lyons announced today that he is stepping down as the color analyst on New York Jets broadcasts. Lyons has been in the Jets’ booth for 22 seasons.
