In a breakout game tonight, Jameson Williams posted his first career 100-yard receiving game in Detroit’s overtime win. Williams finished with 121 receiving yards and 134 yards from scrimmage.

Tua Tagovailoa engineered a come-from-behind Miami Dolphins win in its season opener. Down 17-3 in the second half, Tagovailoa hit Tyreek Hill on an 80-yard touchdown pass to cut the deficit to 7 points, then led a 73-ard drive late in the 4th quarter to tie the game. Miami would win on a field goal as time expired. Tagovailoa finished with 338 passing yards. Jaylen Waddle added 109 receiving yards.

Terrion Arnold, Chris Braswell, Jermaine Burton, JC Latham, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Will Reichard, and Dallas Turner all made their NFL debuts today.

Jonah Williams suffered a knee injury at the end of the first quarter in his Arizona Cardinals debut, and didn’t return to the game. No word on the severity of the injury yet.

Tommy Seidl and the Québec Capitales won the deciding Game 3 of the Frontier League’s East Division Series to advance to the league’s championship series. Québec has won the previous two Frontier League championship, including last year’s with Seidl.

Benedetta Moresco finished a career-best T-5th at the Epson Tour’s Guardian Championship. It’s her first Top 10 finish in 10 starts on the Epson Tour. Also, with her finish this week, Lauren Stephenson mathematically clinched her spot in the Race for the Card, and secured her LPGA Tour card for 2015.

The US Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team (which included Abby Bauleke, Ixhelt Gonzalez, Lindsey Zurbrugg, Bailey Moody, and Emily Oberst) earned a silver medal at the Paris Paralympics after dropping the gold medal game to the Netherlands today.

Tanna Sánchez Carreto scored the match’s only goal at the 44′ mark in Rayadas de Monterrey’s victory tonight.

David Robertson recorded his 30th hold for the season. It’s the fourth time in his career that he’s been credited with 30 or more holds, and the first time since his 2011-2013 run when he was a set-up man for Mariano Rivera.

Ian Petrutz’s regular season ended today with a 3-for-5 performance, raising his season batting average to .344. Petrutz finished with a .382 on-base percentage and a .915 OPS. Petrutz’s Palm Beach team qualified for the Florida State League playoffs, which start on Tuesday.

Caden Rose’s season concluded in Salem today. In 34 at-bats since coming back from hand surgery, Rose hit .353 with a .476 on-base percentage and a .529 slugging percentage.
