The Toronto Blue Jays officially announced the signing of Spencer Turnbull today. Turnbull will earn a base salary of $1 million for the remainder of the season, with roster bonuses based on the number of days that he’s on the major league roster.. He’ll start out in the Florida Complex League until he ramps up to join the Toronto staff.
Peyton Wilson has been honored as the Texas League Player of the Month for April. Wilson, since promoted to Triple-A, led the league in 8 offensive categories when he was promoted.
Dylan Ray has been named the Texas League Pitcher of the Week. Ray threw 6 scoreless innings with 8 strikeouts in his start this past week.
Kelly Kretschman has been named to the US. Women’s National Team coaching pool for the 2025-2028 cycle. Kretschman has had extensive involvement with USA Softball in various capacities, and is currently the head coach of one of the entries in the upcoming AUSL inaugural season.

Rayadas de Monterrey was eliminated in the Liga MX Femenil Clausura semifinals today with a loss to Pachuca. The loss, at least for now, signals the end of Merel Van Dongen’s tenure with the club. With Van Dongen on the team, Rayadas won two straight championships and reached the semifinals in a third season.
