News

Davis Riley finished T-2nd at the PGA Championship for his best career finish in a major championship. Previous best was a T-13 finish at the 2022 PGA Championship. Riley, who was in contention early until a triple-bogey on the 7th hole dropped him to T-17th. Riley would battle back with 3 birdies on the last 11 holes to finish in a 4-way tie for 2nd place behind Scottie Scheffler. Riley’s finish earned him a spot in the U.S. Open, and possibly the 2026 Masters Tournament.

In a statistical oddity, both Sam Praytor and Mac Guscette hit their first career triples in their respective games today.

Dylan Smith’s renaissance as a reliever in Double-A has gotten the attention of the Tigers’ major league organization.
