Filip Planinsek advanced to the finals of the ITF Futures Tour event in Marburg, Germany with a straight-set semifinal win today. Planinsek is seeking his first professional title.

Alana Gonçalo Da Silva and the Brazil national team have reached the championship game of the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup with a blowout win over Argentina in tonight’s semifinals. Brazil faces the United States in tomorrow’s championship game.

NBA summer League play got underway in Salt Lake City and San Francisco. A total of 10 former Alabama players will be participating in this year’s summer leagues, with 5 playing in the two early summer leagues.

Wallace Gilberry and Andre Smith have plans to launch a new podcast, Inside the Trenches with Wallace Gilberry and Andre Smith. Rodney Orr of Tider Insider and WVUA’s Gary Harris have been tapped to co-host.
