Bryce Young threw for 448 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Carolina to a 30-27 overtime win over Atlanta. Young’s 448 passing yards is a career best and a Carolina single-game record. Young’s was also the 4th-highest passing yardage total ever by an Alabama quarterback (behind Joe Namath’s 496 yards and a pair of Tua Tagovailoa games with 469 yards and 466 yards).
With 122 yards from scrimmage today, Derrick Henry now has 13,955 career yards from scrimmage, which passes Julio Jones (13,866 yards from scrimmage) for most-ever by an Alabama player in the NFL.
Jahmyr Gibbs posted a career-high 107 receiving yards, and topped 1,000 yards from scrimmage on the season.
Today was another tough day on the injury front. Ten former Alabama players were declared out on Friday (two were subsequently placed on Injured Reserve), and today saw Josh Jacobs (knee), Calvin Ridley (ankle), and Cam Robinson (knee) leave games and not return.
Will Anderson recorded a sack for the fifth consecutive game. Also for the second time this season, Anderson recorded a sack, forced fumble, and fumble recovery on same play.
The NFL Network updated the story of Jaylen Waddle’s relationship with a South Florida child battling leukemia. Waddle befriended the child earlier in his Miami career.
