Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Montana Fouts (July 27, 2026)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Montana Fouts. For the second straight year, Fouts pitched a complete game to clinch the AUSL Championship Series for the Utah Talons. Fouts was also named AUSL Pitcher of the Year earlier in th week.

Runner-up this week is Filip Planinsek. Planinsek picked up his second professional singles title in Austria, and beat the 1, 2, 3, and 8 seeds en route to the champiosnhip. Planinsek was down one set and a break in the second set before rallying to win the finals match.

Others of note:

Christopher Robinson won the Men’s 400 Meter Hurdles at the USATF Outdoor Championships for this first career national title.

Thomas Ponder finished T-3rd at the Osprey Valley Open for his third straight Top 3 finish.

Charlie Nikitas finished T-10th at the Osprey Valley Open

Davis Shore finished T-5th at the Evans Scholar Invitational for his best finish of the season on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Elina Sinz finished T-15th on the Epson Tour.

Connor Prielipp gave up 1 run and 2 hits over 5.2 innings in his return from the injured list.

Ben Hess allowed 0 earned runs in 5.1 innings and struck out 7 batters. Spencer Turnbull gave up only 1 run and picked up a win in a 6-inning start.

Braylon Myers allowed 1 run and struck out 6 batters in a 4-inning outing.

Dylan Smith struck out 6 batters in 2.2 innings of work.

Colby Shelton had a 4-for-5 game, with a double and 3 singles.

Tyler Gentry homered twice in limited playing time.

Khaleb McRae finished 2nd in the Men’s 400 Meter at the USATF Outdoor Championships.

Shelby McEwen finished 3rd in the Men’s High Jump at the USATF Outdoor Championships.

Mye’Joi Williams had a personal best throw and finished 5th in the Women’s Shot Put at the USATF Outdoor Championships

Ashlynn Serepca scored a goal to earn a tie for Linköping FC.

Jessica Timmons had a 27 point game for the Greensboro Groove.

Lexi Kilfoyl gave up 3 earned runs over 14.1 innings of work.

Dallis Goodnight had a 3-for-4 game with a home run, 2 singles, and 5 RBI.
