Kevin Sherrer will be joining the LSU staff in a yet-to-be-determined capacity. Sherrer most recently served as defensive coordinator for the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions.
Colby Shelton homered three times tonight to lead the Birmingham Barons to a 15-5 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts. Shelton now has 11 home runs at Double-A, and 18 home runs overall for the season.
Community Outreach
The Pittsburgh Pirates draft class, including Tyler Fay, hosted participants of the Miracle League in Manasota, Florida for a day of fun activities at the Pirates’ complex.
The San Francisco Giants hosted more than 100 guests San Francisco Little League’s Challenger Division, WAWOS, Jr. Giants and San Jose PAL prior to yesterday’s game. Dylan Smith was one of the Giants who entertained the guests.
