Andrew Pinckney received his first-ever call-up by the Washington Nationals today, as the Nationals placed star outfielder James Wood on the 10-Day Injured List with an oblique strain. Pinckney did not get into tonight’s game.
LaBryan Ray has retired from the NFL. Ray was excused from practice by the Carolina Panthers yesterday for personal reasons, and was placed on the Reserve / Retired list by the team today.
Evan Mathis and Kiara Williams Chase are included in the 17-person inaugural class of the Homewood High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
