Kalia Antoniou (Cyprus) and Toni Dragoja (Croatia) both took home gold medals in the 100 Meter Freestyle events at the ongoing Mediterranean Games in Taranto. Antoniou’s gold was widely expected, but Dragoja won his in a mild upset. He shaved almost a full second off of his qualifying time after qualifying fourth in the preliminary heats.
