News
The Jalen Hurts blood clot story took a dramatic turn today, and the team and Hurts’ agent Nicole Lynn issued a joint statement that Hurts has now been diagnosed with a bilateral pulmonary emboli, as well as a deep vein thrombosis, meaning that his blood clots have moved to his lungs. Hurts will now be placed on blood thinners, and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 season. Questions have arisen about the Eagles’ treatment of Hurts’ health issue, including allowing him to play on October 11 in London, as well has flying to and from London with a known clot issue.
Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed on a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale contract extension. The extension will begin with the 2027-28 season, with Miller earning $44 million in the first year of the new deal.
