News

While you were sleeping (and we were too), JaMychal Green reportedly agreed to terms with the Denver Nuggets on a 2-year, $15 million contract, with the second year of the deal being a player opt-in option (similar to his most recent deal with Los Angeles Clippers). Green would presumably be a replacement for starting forward Jerami Grant, who left Denver for Detroit the day before. In Los Angeles, Green’s departure is viewed as a significant blow.

Kristian Gkolomeev sets yet another new personal best and new Greek national record in the 50m freestyle at the International Swimming League finals. Gkolomeev’s new mark is 20.75 seconds. He has set new PBs in the 50m freestyle in each of his last four swims at the ISL.

Levi Randolph is part of the USA Basketball camp that’s preparing for the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers. USA Basketball invited 14 players, mostly G-Leaguers, and will eventually have 12 players on the roster for qualifying games against the Bahamas on November 29 and Mexico on November 30.

Packers have added J.K. Scott to the injury report for tomorrow’s game, listing him as questionable with a personal matter. He didn’t travel with the team to Indianapolis.

On a similar note, Detroit downgraded Da’Shawn Hand to out for tomorrow’s game vs Carolina. Hand has been hampered this week by a groin injury.

Raekwon Davis has Dolphins coaches excited about his recent play.

Jerry Jeudy is not surprised at all by Tua Tagovailoa’s early success.

A’Shawn Robinson discusses his Rams debut, among other things, in the Rams’ 10 Things segment.

Stephanie Meadow overcame a sluggish start to birdie 3 of the last 5 holes, and maintained 3rd place at the Pelican Women’s Championship. She’ll enter the final round 6 shots behind the leader, and she’ll have a shot at a career best finish (current career best finish is a 3rd place finish at the 2014 US Women’s Open).

Sam Shade has his Pinson Valley team riding high right now.

Community Outreach

JaMychal Green’s Thanksgiving dinner giveaway at Hayneville Road Community Center in Montgomery today was a rousing success. Here are some clips from Green’s Instagram page.

Dalvin Tomlinson is working with Stop and Shop and NYPD Community Affairs to hand out free turkeys to families all over New York City as part of NYC’s Friendsgiving celebration. The effort will ultimately distribute 5,000 turkeys.

Bradley and Nikki Bozeman’s foundation is putting together a food giveaway across the Baltimore metro area on Monday. Nikki did local media rounds to promote the event.

Shaun Dion Hamilton’s Thanksgiving dinner giveaway, which will be next Wednesday at Martha’s Place in Montgomery, will now provide 500 meals, thanks to one of Hamilton’s teammates.
