Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Jalen Hurts (Dec 21)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Jalen Hurts.  Hurts threw for 338 yards, ran for 63 yards, and accounted for 4 TDs (3 passing, 1 rushing).  Hurts became the 9th quarterback in NFL history with at least 4 touchdown passes and no interceptions in his first two starts, and is the first QB in NFL history with 500+ yards passing and 150+ rushing yards in his first two starts.

Runner up this week is Calvin Ridley.  Ridley had a career-best 10 catches and 163 receiving yards.  Ridley has surpassed the 100 yard mark in 3 straight games, and has 7 games with 100+ yards receiving on the season, which leads the NFL.

Derrick Henry rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.  With his touchdown today, Henry is just the fourth player in NFL history to have back-to-back seasons of 1,500 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns.

Tua Tagovailoa led Miami to a 22-12 win with 2 rushing TDs.

Josh Jacobs had 114 yards from scrimmage.

Marlon Humphrey had 11 tackles and 2 forced fumbles in 2 games.

Quinnen Williams had 4 tackles and a sack.

Kareem Jackson had 9 tackles.

Retin Obasohan had 14 points and 10 assists in a Champions League game.

Michael Kessens had a career-best 20 points, along with 9 rebounds.

Merel Van Dongen scored the lone goal in Atlético de Madrid’s win.
