Daniel Haugh punched his ticket to the Olympics in the Men’s Hammer Throw with a personal-best throw of 79.39 meters. Haugh finished second in the event, which is good enough to make the Olympic team.

Add Abbas Qali to the list of Alabama Olympians as well. At an event in Slovenia this weekend, Qali won both the Men’s 50m Butterfly (which isn’t an Olympic event) and the Men’s 100m Butterfly. Previously being 2/100ths of a second short of qualifying, Qali posted a time of 53.28 seconds in a time trial for the 100m Fly, which surpassed the Olympic standard. This will be Qali’s second Olympics, having also competed in Rio in 2016.

Lauren Stephenson finished -18 at the Meijer LPGA Classic for a career-best T-6 finish. It was Stephenson’s second Top 10 finish of the year, and the fourth of her career.
