Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Trey Mullinax (September 6)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Trey Mullinax. Mullinax led the first three rounds of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, and eventually finished second in the tournament. In the process, he finished second in the Finals 25, and earned his PGA Tour card for the 2021-2022 season.

Annika Zeyen won two medals at the Tokyo Paralympics – a gold medal in the road cycling timed trial event, and a silver medal in the road course event. She also finished fourth in the team relay event.

Justin Thomas finished 4th at the PGA Tour Championship. Thomas has now finished in the Top 5 in the FedEx Cup standings for five straight years.

Lee Hodges finished T-4th at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.

Shelby McEwen won the men’s high jump at the Palio Città della Quercia event in Italy for his first-ever win in an international event.

Kirani James finished 2nd in the men’s 400 meters at the Diamond League event in Brussels.

Erin Routliffe won for the first time ever in a Grand Slam event, as she advanced to the third round of the doubles draw at the US Open.

Alexa Guarachi won her first two matches in both the women’s doubles and mixed doubles draws at the US Open.

Pia Rijsdijk assisted on a goal to give Feyenoord a tie in Dutch league play.

Haylie McCleney had a 4-hit game and made two highlight catches in Athletes Unlimited play.

Geoffrey Bramblett threw 13 innings in two quality starts for Schaumburg.

Morgan McCullough had 3 multi-hit games for the Kansas City Monarchs.

Brett Auerbach had two 3-hit games for Eugene.
