Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Saketh Myneni (June 6)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Saketh Myneni. Myneni and partner Yuki Bhambri won the doubles title at the ATP Prostezov Challenger by defeating the top three seeds of the draw. The win was Myneni’s 5th title of 2022 (his most in a season since 2014) and the 29th of his career.

Annika Zeyen won the German national championship in the handbike timed trials at the Cologne Classic.

Cheyenne Knight finished T-15th at the US Women’s Open for her best career finish in an LPGA major.

Kimberley Ficenec fininished 2nd in the Women’s 800 Meter at a meet in the Czech Republic.

Jereem Richards finished 2nd in the Men’s 200 Meter at a meet in Florida.

Haley Teel posted a season-best and a 3rd place finish in the Women’s Shot Put at the Music City Track Carnival.

Filippa Fotopoulou finished 3rd in the Women’s Long Jump at a meet in Greece.

Michael Kessens had 16 points, 8 rebounds in Bonn’s playoff win against München.

Retin Obasohan had 20 points in Hapoel Jerusalem’s season finale.

David Robertson pitched 3.1 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts, and got out of two bases-loaded situations.

Tommy Hunter pitched 3.2 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts.
