Jonathan Hardee shot a second consecutive 66 to grab a share of the 3rd round lead at the PGA Tour Canada event in Edmonton, Alberta. Hardee, who briefly had the solo lead, shares the lead with three others going into tomorrow’s final round.
Connor Prielipp was one of the players who stood out at this week’s MLB Combine in San Diego. Prielipp averaged 93 mph on his fastball, and threw both of this breaking balls in the mid-to-upper 80s. He had the highest spin rate among all pitchers for the week on his curveball, maxing out at 3,045 rpm.
Tommy Hunter says he was “fined” but Met manager Buck Showalter for being “late” to the ballpark last night. Hunter joked that he was late by 2 months.

Justin Thomas’ 3rd round at the US Open was noteworthy for an incident that happened on the fourth hole. Thomas’ drive landed inches from drain in the fairway. The rules official determined that Thomas wasn’t entitled to relief because the ball wasn’t sitting on the drain and the drain did not obstruct his swing. Thomas’ approach landed well short of the green, and Thomas was caught on mic with some profanity afterwards.
