JaMychal Green is finalizing a buy-out with the Oklahoma City Thunder and, once he clears waivers, will be signing with the Golden State Warriors. Green, who exercised an $8.2 million player option for the 2022-23 season last month and was traded from Denver to Oklahoma City in a move designed to give the Nuggets salary cap relief. Oklahoma City expressed intentions to move Green to a new destination before the start of training camp.

The third and final day of the MLB Draft concluded today with two more Alabama players selected. Jacob McNairy was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 16th round (486th overall pick), while Garrett McMillan was tabbed by the Minnesota Twins in the 19th round (564th overall pick).

Tamara Clark won her semifinal heat in the Women’s 200 Meter at the World Athletics Championship in a close finish (see below). Clark’s time of 21.95 seconds was 0.01 second ahead of Dina Asher-Smith, and was the third-fastest time over the three heats. On the men’s side, Jereem Richards’ 19.86 second time was the fourth-fastest time in the Men’s 200 Meter, which advanced him to the finals as well.

Lakareber Abe will be taking part in the Original Tee Golf Classic this weekend in Hamburg, New Jersey. Original Tee is an organization that amplifies inclusion in golf by preserving the history of the game’s diverse Black pioneers.
