Derrick Henry was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8. It’s the 7th time Henry has received the POTW honor, which extends his record for the Titans/Oilers franchise, and ties him with Shaun Alexander for the most such awards won by an Alabama player.
Tua Tagovailoa was voted the FedEx Air Player of the Week for Week 8. Jalen Hurts was also nominated for the popular vote award.
The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington DC announced today that it had made an arrest of one of the assailants in the armed robbery that resulted in Brian Robinson being shot twice in the leg. The incident occurred on August 28. A second assailant is still at large.
A source close to Joshua Primo tells TMZ that Primo did not intentionally expose himself to a San Antonio Spurs team psychologist that was treating Primo. Meanwhile, the psychologist and her attorney are scheduled to hold a press conference in Houston tomorrow.
Herb Jones missed a fourth straight game with a hyperextended knee issue. Jones was listed as probable for tonight’s game, but was downgraded during the day.
No official announcement yet, but sources confirm that Frank Menechino won’t be part of the new White Sox coaching staff. He wasn’t expected to be, so no surprise here.
