Bryce Young was absent from the Carolina Panthers’ walk-through today with an apparent ankle injury. Young had the ankled checked out after Monday night’s game, though, according to head coach Frank Reich, it’s not known on which play he hurt the ankle. His status for Week 3 will be determined later in the week.
Sam Praytor became the latest former Alabama player to win a league championship, as Jupiter took the deciding Game 3 vs. Clearwater to win the Florida State League championship. Tommy Seidl (Frontier League) and Casey Cobb (South Atlantic League) also won championships in recent days.
Alexa Guarachi has been named to the Chilean team for upcoming PanAm Games, which will be held in Santiago in November.
Kenyan Drake was signed to the practice squad by the Baltimore Ravens today. Drake spent last season with the Ravens, but was unsigned after the 2022 season. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts during training camp, but was part of the finals cuts before Week 1.
