John Metchie has been named the Houston Texans’ Ed Block Courage Award winner. Recipients of the prestigious award are selected by a vote of their peers to recognize the superb efforts both on and off the field and their ability to overcome great adversity.

Patrick Surtain II has been named the Denver Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas Team MVP for the second straight season. The award is determined by a vote of writers on the Broncos beat.

Ashley Prange has been named assistant softball coach at Alabama-Birmingham. 

Isaiah Buggs, waived earlier this week by the Detroit Lions, reports that he’ll be signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. A formal announcement should come tomorrow.

The Charlotte Hornets’ season is off to a dismal start, but Brandon Miller has been a bright spot. 

Kelly Kretschman shares her excitement for the return of softball to the 2028 Olympics. 

Joshua Primo scored a career high 33 points in Ontario’s game tonight. Primo’s 5 offensive rebounds was also a career best.

Chris Braswell, Justin Eboigbe, Kool Aid McKinstry, and Dallas Turner posted formal announcements declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. Terrion Arnold will also reportedly be declaring for the draft.
