AL.com recaps Chris Smelley’s harrowing day floating adrift in a kayak in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. Smelley was located by the US Coast Guard near sunset after having been missing since early yesterday morning. Smelley expressed gratitude for all of the support and prayers that he received yesterday.
Erin Routliffe and partner Gabriela Dabrowski advanced to the finals of the Miami Open with a come from behind 3-set win in the semifinals. The pair lost the first set and was down 4-2 in the second set before winning 4 straight games, and the dominating in the tiebreaker set.
