Edson Ortiz has been named Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at the University of Oklahoma. Ortiz, who played five seasons at Alabama and was a three-time All-SEC selection, has spent the last two seasons serving as an assistant coach for the Santa Clara men’s team.

Isaiah Buggs was released by the Kansas City Chiefs today, following a string of arrests in Tuscaloosa on various charges this off-season. Buggs joined the Chiefs late last season as a practice squad signee.

Stephanie Meadow has officially qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, as the final 60-woman field was finalized today. Meadow, who also played at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, qualified by virtue of being the second-highest ranked Irish golfer.
