Kadyn Proctor and Ty Simpson were selected with back-to-back picks in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft tonight. Proctor was selected 12th overall by the Miami Dolphins, while Simpson went 13th overall to the Los Angeles Rams. The first-round selections extends Alabama’s streak of having at least one first round pick to 18 straight drafts, which is an NFL record. Alabama has now had 51 first round picks during that span.
Caleb Downs, who transferred from Alabama after his freshman season, was drafted 11th overall by the Dallas Cowboys. Downs is the first former Saban Era player to transfer from Alabama and be drafted in the first round.
Kade Snell hit his first professional home run tonight for the South Bend Cubs.
