Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Derrick Henry. Henry became the first player in NFL history to score two rushing touchdowns in overtime in a single season when he clinched Tennessee’s 30-24 win over Baltimore with a 29-yard run. On the day, Henry had 133 yards on 28 carries, and surpassed 1,000 yards rushing for the 3rd straight season. The overtime touchdown was Henry’s 50th career TD.
Runner-up this week is Stephanie Meadow. Meadow finished -9, solo 3rd at the Pelican Women’s Championship, equaling her best finish ever in an LPGA Tour event. She moves up to 35th in the tour standings and clinches a spot in next month’s tour championship.
