Krystal Rivers and Allianz MTV Stuttgart staved off elimination in Game Four of the Volley Bundesliga finals, forcing a final Game Five with a straight-set win over Schwerin. Rivers had 22 points and was named Match MVP.

Jonathan Hardee and Charlie Nikitas both had successful rounds at US Open sectional qualifiers today. Hardee finished 68, T-1st at a sectional qualifier in Pensacola to get one of the two qualifying spots. Nikitas had to do a little more work. He finished 71, T-3rd, and prevailed in a 4-for-2 playoff at the Grayslake, IL sectional. Both will now advance to US Open final qualifying on June 3.

Justin Thomas stands to gain $30 million in equity in the new PGA Tour venture, according to reports. Thomas would be one of the four highest-compensated golfers under the plan, which is designed in part to reward golfers who turned down LIV Tour offers and stayed loyal to the PGA Tour.

Riley Mattingly Parker will be playing with the Tampa Bay Sun in the upstart USL Super League, which will launch its inaugural season in August.

Alexa Guarachi Bruner has been announced as the new Director of Tennis at the Watersound Club on the Florida Gulf Coast. Guarachi, who hasn’t played since September 2023, also confirms that she’s retired from professional tennis.
