Jereem Richards ran the anchor leg on Trinidad & Tobago’s Men’s 4×400 Meter Relay to lead the country to first place at the Commonwealth Games. It was Richards’ second gold medal in as many days. Earlier in the day, the Games honored Richards’ request to have the Trinidad & Tobago national anthem played with the steelpan at his Men’s 200 Meter medal ceremony.

Natassha McDonald and the Canadian Women’s 4x400m Relay team was awarded a gold medal after their Commonwealth Games race when race winner England was disqualified for a lane violation.

The Commonwealth Games concluded today with the following former Alabama athletes earning medals:
- Jereem Richards – 2 gold (Men’s 200 Meter, Men’s 4×400 Meter Relay)
- Natassha McDonald – gold (Women’s 4×400 Meter Relay)
- Georgia Inglis – silver (Women’s 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball)
- Bo Hedges – silver (Men’s 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball)
- Remona Burchell – bronze (Women’s 4×100 Meter Relay)
- Joy Haizelden – bronze (Women’s 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball)

Haylie McCleney was 2-for-2 with 2 walks today to extend her on-base streak to 9 consecutive plate appearances over the past two games. McCleney moves up to second place in the Athletes Unlimited softball standings after two weeks, and she’ll serve as a captain for Week 3 competition.
Brett Auerbach capped off his week with a 4-for-6 day with a home run, three doubles, and 6 RBIs in Richmond’s 19-run outburst today. Auerbach’s 6 RBIs is a season-high, and matches a career high. Three doubles are also a career high. Auerbach now has 3 4-hit games in his minor league career, and two of this came this week.
With her solo third place finish at the French Lick Charity Classic today, Polly Mack picked up her first Top 5 finish on the Epson Tour in just her 4th career start. Mack also had a Top 5 finish on the Ladies European Tour earlier this summer.
Annika Zeyen completed the sweep of gold medals at the UCI Para-Cycling World Cup in Quebec City, Canada this weekend. Zeyen, who competes in the Handbike 3 classification, won both the timed trial and the road race competitions.
The PGA Tour regular season came to a close today, with Justin Thomas (8th), Davis Riley (23rd), Trey Mullinax (70th), Lee Hodges (99th), and Michael Thompson (103rd) all advancing to the FedEx Cup playoffs. Additionally, Riley, Hodges, and Thompson officially locked in 2022-23 year exemptions with their Top 125 finishes (Thomas and Mullinax had already secured multi-year exemptions with Tour wins this season).
